ALL communications by players or spectators at or near the tables shall be in ENGLISH ONLY.  Use of ANY foreign language or other communication method is prohibited whether a hand is in play or not.  Remedies for violation of this rule could include penalty, forfeiture of the hand, ejection from tournament play, suspension or termination of membership, or otherwise at the sole discretion of Alpha Social Card Club, and in accordance with the Alpha Social Card Club Membership Agreement.

A Member using overtly offensive language including vulgar conversations of an explicit sexual nature, language consistently belittling another Member or employee, language of a combative or threatening nature, or any other language considered offensive may be suspended or terminated in accordance with the Alpha Social Card Club Membership Agreement and at the sole discretion of the Alpha Social Card Club.

Neither players, dealers, nor spectators shall discuss aspects of the board, discarded hands, down cards, or anything relevant to a live hand while it is in play.  The “one player per hand” rule is always in effect, as is the “show one, show all” rule.  Only in cash game heads-up play is “table talk” allowed between the two players remaining in the live hand.  Remedies for violation of this rule are at the sole discretion of Alpha Social Card Club, and in accordance with the Alpha Social Card Club Membership Agreement.

Electronic devices including phones, computers, tablets, etc. are allowed at the tables; however, no talking, texting, or other electronic communications are allowed when a player has a live hand.  A player in a phone conversation shall move away from the table to the extent that his conversation does not distract from the table.

Collusion of any kind including but not limited to chip dumping and team playing is strictly prohibited and a violation of this rule could result in forfeiture of the hand, ejection from tournament play, suspension or termination of membership, or otherwise at the sole discretion of Alpha Social Card Club, and in accordance with the Alpha Social Card Club Membership Agreement.

All gameplay at Alpha Social Card Club shall be governed by the World Series of Poker rules for cash games and tournament play.  Alpha Social Card Club gameplay rulings shall be considered final and interpretation of said rules shall be in accordance with a literal reading as tempered by the spirit of the rules.  Alpha Social Card Club shall not be liable for a final ruling considered incorrect or misinterpreted.

Alpha Social Card Club tables DO NOT include an active betting line.  Bets are defined by verbal declaration or the moving of chips, whichever is first.  A clear verbal declaration takes precedence if simultaneous with the moving of chips.  Forward motion with chips (including the sliding of stacks) in a single motion across the felt, beyond a player’s hole cards, and toward the center of the table binds the player to make a bet and, unless a bet amount is verbalized before or simultaneous to the motion, the chips released determine the amount of the bet.  When a stack or stacks are slid in this manner, the bet amount is considered the entire value of the stack/stacks.  Players must act in turn and verbal statements such as “raise,” “check,” “call,” “fold,” “all in,” etc. are binding actions even if made out of turn if the action is still valid upon play reaching the verbal actor.  Rulings as to player intent with regard to a bet or other action are at the sole discretion Alpha Social Card Club.

Removal of tournament or cash game chips from the playing area is strictly prohibited.  Chips are only allowed on the tables or to be openly and visibly transported DIRECTLY between tables or the cage.  Violation of this rule, at the sole discretion of Alpha Social Card Club, could lead to penalty, forfeiture of tournament chips, forfeiture of the cash value of the cash game chips, membership suspension or termination in accordance with the Alpha Social Card Club Membership Agreement

Unethical behavior by Members such as persistent game delays, acting out of turn, “angle shooting,” or otherwise is prohibited. Asking for a “rabbit hunt” in a cash game is not considered unethical behavior.  Violation of this rule could result in penalty, forfeiture, suspension or termination of membership, or otherwise at the sole discretion of Alpha Social Card Club and in accordance with the Alpha Social Card Club Membership Agreement

Player responsibilities include, but are not limited to, verifying presence at the correct table and seat, clocking out with the dealer before leaving, protecting down cards from muck during play, making clear intentions when acting, acting in turn, keeping all cards and chips visible with higher denomination chips in front or on top, not leaving the table during a live hand, comply with all rules, employing proper poker etiquette, observing and notifying the dealer of potential errors, and respecting other Members and employees.
