Alpha Social Card Club No-Rake
Private Poker Room

“Keep your money in the game and keep the house out of it!”

No-rake is great for the player and the game

An average dealer deals 25-30 hands per hour of Hold’Em. If the average rake for a $1/$2 game of Hold’Em is $5/hand, that’s $125-$150 leaving the game every hour! Imagine the amount leaving the game in higher stakes!

Assignment 1

The next time you play in a raked game, watch the dealer and add-up the rake pulled by the house across one hour. It will astonish you. Because truthfully, most hours will exceed those numbers significantly. Maybe that’s why they don’t mind giving you that beer and food! It’s nothing compared to the huge amounts they’re raking – from you! You’re actually paying a lot for that “free” food and beer!

Assignment 2

The next time you play a raked private game pay attention to the number of players on the house books. Why would someone loan a player money to keep putting back into the game? RAKE! The house wins every hand, so booking players keeps the game going and more hands are raked. Have you ever had the nuts snapped-off by a runner-runner turn-river to a player who should’ve never stayed in the hand? Well, again you can thank the house book. Players chasing break-even will keep going back to that book for more money until they suck-out that miracle hand and get even through YOUR STACK. You see, this is good for the house because it redistributes the money and keeps everyone playing longer. Why? You guessed it! MORE RAKE!

Assignment 3

Now, imagine playing for one hour at Alpha Social Card Club where you NEVER pay a rake, AND can play for as low as $10/hour, AND there’s no book redistributing chips to keep the game going. The math is simple: Rake = house always has its hands in the pot; but, with No-Rake you’re in control. Even large Las Vegas casinos are getting away from the rake on bigger games because players are waking-up to the huge house pull that eventually drains the players.
